简谈汉语以功能对等论述看中国政治翻译

摘要：汉语政治文献是世界了解中国的重要信息载体,汉语政治文献的翻译有着极其重要的现实作用。本论文以十七大报告为探讨对象,探讨功能对等论述视角下的汉语政治文献英译的翻译策略。功能对等论述关注文本与其读者之间的联系,强调功能对等。政治文献主要有信息功能,呼吁功能和表情功能。政治演说中的信息功能是政治文献最显著的功能。汉语政治文献主要用于告知人们国家和的政策以及详细阐述其对特定事件的态度和立场。政治文献向人们提供对于国内外国家政策客观的解释,浅析,描述和推理。一方面,信息功能用于传达这些政策,另一方面,信息功能也用于维护当局的利益。由此,政治文献的信息功能在塑造和转变人们的想法方面发挥着非常重要的作用,只有在信息成功传达的前提下,才能实现政治文献的其他功能；呼吁功能试图影响受众的行为,旨在号召读者去行动,反思,感受,通过呼吁功能,引起人们对于当局政策的关注和认同,并给予积极的响应；表情功能是政治文献的另一功能。语言是用于交流的,政治文献也一样。人们必须理解政治文献中所传达的信息。政府观点的表达必须清晰,能被人们全面地理解。只有这样做,政府的主旨才能被传达。除了对于事件本身的说明,政治文献还应提供对事件的评价。同解释说明本身的客观性和事实性不同的是,评价具有一定的主观性,这对于了解政府的立场发挥着重要的作用。本论文在奈达功能对等论述的关照下,选取新华社十七大报告的译文进行探讨。在比较浅析的基础上,探究汉语政治文献英译为了实现信息、呼吁和表情功能对等所采取的翻译对策和策略。本论文认为,十七大报告的信息功能主要是传达特定信息,表达公众观点。十七大报告的呼吁功能主要体现在四个方面：直接诉求；稳定情绪；行为替代；符号收益。十七大报告的表情功能主要体现在政治认同上,政治团体是通过意识形态团结一致的,政治语言交流的目的就是发动共同体成员参与社会政治活动,宣称自己的正义,使自己的权力得到公众的认可和认同。在政治文献汉译英的实践中,可以以功能对等论述为指导,站在目的语读者的一方,综合考虑原文与译文之间的差别,不拘泥于原文形式,灵活选择适当的翻译对策,使“对等”得到充分体现,使原文的意图及内容能准确得体地再现给读者。关键词：功能对等论文汉语政治文献论文翻译论文
